Traders Hotel is in Komtar, Penang. It was located facing Magazine Road, and was originally known as Shangri-La. Trader's Hotel is within Komtar. The hotel used to be connected to Yaohan Department Store, which later became Aktif Lifestyle Store, but has since closed down.

What I like about this hotel

It is right at the heart of George Town. From here, you can walk a short distance to major shopping complexes such as Prangin Mall, Gama and Penang Times Square. The Komtar Bus Terminal is just around the corner.

What I don't like about this hotel

It is right in front of the very congested Magazine Road. Some parts of Komtar have deteriorated over the years, and are still awaiting a new lease of life.
