Teluk Ailing
Teluk Ailing is one of the bays in Penang National Park. It is where the Universiti Sains Malaysia maintains a research station here. Set up in 1996, the station conducts research into marine life and coastal ecology.
On a usual day, Teluk Ailing is serene. There is hardly anybody going to the area, save for a few anglers and hikers. The best time to see it is during high tide, so that the mudflats are covered by water. During low tide, the shore is often littered with trash washed up by the tide.
