Taman Melati Jaya is a housing estate in Sungai Nibong Kecil, Penang. It was developed by Koperasi Tunas Muda Sungai Ara Berhad. The housing estate is bordered by Jalan Tun Dr Awang to the north, Persiaran Mahsuri to the south, PISA to the west and the village houses of Sungai Nibong Kecil to the east. Taman Melati Jaya comprises 138 units of single storey link houses, 16 units of double-storey link houses, and 18 units of double storey shophouses.

Public Transport

Taman Melati Jaya is served by Rapid Penang Bus 301, 302, 303, 304, 305, 306, 307, 308 and 705 along Jalan Tun Dr Awang.

The nearest schools for Taman Melati Jaya is Sekolah Rendah Jenis Kebangsaan (Cina) Min Sin. The nearest market is the Bayan Baru Market. The nearest shopping centres are Sunshine Square, Bukit Jambul Complex and Giant Hypermarket. The nearest petrol station from Taman Melati Jaya is the Shell at Jalan Mayang Pasir, Esso at Jalan Tun Dr Awang and another Esso at Jalan Tengah.

Traffic

Taman Melati Jaya enjoys quite light traffic. However Jalan Tun Dr Awang, being a major road, can get quite congested especially during rush hours. This has minimal impact to Taman Melati Jaya, except when there is a big expo at PISA, during which all the surrounding roads see a surge in traffic.
