Taman Iping, Penang

Taman Iping is the first housing estate in Batu Maung, Penang. It was developed in the early 1980's. Many of the properties here are now over twenty years old, although there are also some more recent projects in the past 5-6 years. Many bought here when the price of landed property in Batu Maung was much lower than elsewhere in Penang. This is no longer true. With the proposed Second Penang Bridge under construction connecting Batu Maung with Batu Kawan, the place has attracted more development and new housing estates.

Properties in Taman Iping includes single-storey link houses, single-storey semi-detached houses, double storey semi-detached houses, and low-rise walk-up flats with shoplots on the ground floor.

Public Transport

Rapid Penang Bus 302, 305 and 307 go to Batu Maung, but only 302 enters Taman Iping.
