Sri Rajamariamman Temple is a Hindu temple along Jalan Kampung Jawa Baru. It is located just a short distance behind the Penang Times Square. The South Indian type temple is ornately decorated with temple towers and statues in gaudy colours.

As you enter the Sri Rajamariamman Temple compound, you can see a shrine on the right side, in the form of a stylized chariot. On the left is the image of the Hindu deity, Ganesha, often known as the elephant god. The entrance to the main sanctuary is flanked by statues of deities, two on each side.

How to reach Sri Rajamariamman Temple

Take Rapid Penang Bus 11, 201, 202, 203, 204, 206, 301, 302 or 502 to Dato Kramat Road. Get down in front of Penang Times Square. Walk down Jalan Kampung Jawa Baru until you reach the temple on your right.
