The best way to get to know Penang Island and enjoy its many tourist attractions is to approach them in an organized fashion. On this page are self-guided tours which I have personally created. As most of the heritage sites of Penang Island are located in George Town, the self-guided tours are also centred there. In most cases, they are walking tours which you can do on foot. To cover sights where are outside the Inner Core of George Town, you may need to get public transport - for this, I recommend using the Rapid Penang Bus which has an extensive network all over Penang.
