The intention of these self-guided tours is to group and present the tourist attractions according to a logical sequence.

As most of the heritage sites of Penang Island are located in George Town, the self-guided tours are also centred there. In most cases, they are walking tours which you can do on foot. To cover sights where are outside the Inner Core of George Town, you may need to get public transport - for this, I recommend using the Rapid Penang Bus which has an extensive network all over Penang.
