If you are a photography enthusiast hoping to catch some scenic sights of Penang Island, here are some places I would recommend you visit:
Visit this waterfall during the rainy season, preferably during the evening. Bring along tripod and set your camera at a slow speed. Oh, and don't forget mosquito repellent.
Titi Kerawang Waterfalls (16 October 2004)
It's the quaintest alleyway in George Town. To get it at its best, wait till the sun is down and the sky turns a brilliant blue. Use a tripod to get lights-in-motion shots.
Toh Aka Lane (4 February 2009)
The Temple of Supreme Bliss has many photogenic spots, and the best time to visit is during Chinese New Year, when the sky is clear of clouds. For the lantern shots, return to the temple after dark, when thousands of lanterns are lit.
Kek Lok Si Temple (28 January 2006)
If you wish to get panoramic shots of the George Town skyline, the best place to go is Seri Tanjung Pinang Promenade. Choose a clear day to cut down on atmospheric haze.
