Police Quarters Park is a proposed urban park to occupy the land around the Carnarvon Street Police Quarters. It is bounded by Carnarvon Street, Claimant Place and Rope Walk. The park will cover 2.27 acres, providing some greenery to the inner city of George Town.

Appreciating the Historic Significance of this Site

As with the surrounding land, the site was once part of the sprawling property of the Kapitan Keling Mosque and its trustees. The need to build a police station and quarters compelled the city to buy back some land from the mosque.
