The Penang Home for the Infirm and Aged or Rumah Orang Tua Uzur Pulau Pinang at Jalan Residensi is a senior citizen institution created to provide care for the aged. Established in 1963, the centre operates out of a building along Jalan Masjid Negeri, and a branch at Jalan Residensi. The objective of the Penang Home for the Infirm and Aged is to provide a home for the destitute and aged who require care, treatment and nursing. For those who are chronically ill, they are looked after and given rehabilitation.

The centre at Jalan Residensi is located within a bungalow that used to be the official residence of the Mayor of George Town. The building was sold under the term of D.S. Ramanathan, who deemed it too extravagant for him.

Getting there

Rapid Penang Bus 304 pass along Jalan Residensi while buses 206 and 304 pass through Jalan Masjid Negeri.
