The Penang Chinese Chin Woo Athletic Association is an association dedicated to a Chinese martial artform. It is located on Burmah Road, at the junction with Service Road. There are many Chin Woo Athletic Associations around the world, and they trace their roots to the first founded in Shanghai at the beginning of the 20th century. It was founded by a group of martial arts enthusiast, the most famous of whom was the martial arts master Huo Yuanjia, who died within months of the association's establishment, and thus became the icon of the association.
The Chin Woo Athletic Association is where those who are interested has a place to learn the arts in the open, rather than in clandestine premises. It has a counterpart, the Penang Ladies Chin Woo Athletic Association.
