Traffic along the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway is smooth except during rush hour, when there may be traffic built-ups at the Macallum Street junction. There were regular traffic jams at the interchange to the Penang Bridge, which has reduced somewhat with the widening of the bridge.
