Real Estate Review: Mutiara Idaman, Jelutong

Mutiara Idaman is a medium-cost apartment complex in Jelutong, Penang. It was built in 2004 on leasehold land. Facing the Jelutong Expressway, Mutiara Idaman is accessed via Jalan Tengku off Jelutong Main Road. It comprises two phases, Mutiara Idaman 1 & 2. Block 1 has a built up area of 600 square feet while Block 2 a built-up area of 650 square feet, with 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The maintenance fee is RM80.00 per month. Estimated monthly rental is in the region of RM400 to RM550.

Facilities include security and parking lot.

Location

Mutiara Idaman is 3.9 km from Magazine Circus. Its proximity to the city centre makes it ideal for those working in the city. On top of that, it has great views of the Penang Bridge. On the downside, access it through busy Jelutong Main Road. Distance from main road is also quite far, making it a bit tough for those relying on public transport. Proximity to Jelutong Expressway (but without access to it) contributes some noise pollution.

Public Transport

The nearest bus stop is along the Jelutong Main Road, over 200 meters away. There is a good choice of buses to take including Rapid Penang 11, 301, 302, 303, 401 and 704.

Amenities

The nearest schools are Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Jelutong and SRJK (C) Kheng Tian. The nearest market is the Jelutong Market. The nearest hypermarket is Tesco Penang. The nearest hospital is Lam Wah Ee Hospital.

Traffic

Traffic along the Jelutong Main Road is heavy much of the day.
