Kampung Sungai Burung, Balik Pulau

Kampung Sungai Burung is a small Malay village in Balik Pulau. Located near the coast, the village of Kampung Sungai Burung got its name from a stream whose name means "bird river". It flows west into the mangrove swamp of Balik Pulau.

Many of the villagers in Kampung Sungai Burung are either fishermen or farmers.

Kampung Sungai Burung is 25 km from Magazine Circus. It is one of the farthest away village on Penang Island from the city centre.
