Juru Auto-City, as its name suggests, is a place with a congregation of automobile showrooms. But it's much more than that. Located in Juru, off the Juru Interchange (Exit 160 on the North South Expressway), Juru Auto-City is the place to hang-out and socialise for (young) people on mainland Penang, on par with Gurney Drive and Queensbay Mall on Penang Island.

As is to be expected, this is the place to go to look for your next set of wheels. Practically every brand is represented here. In alphabetical order, they are Audi, BMW, Chevrolet, Citroën, Daihatsu, Ferrari, Fiat, Ford, Hino, Honda, Hyundai, Isuzu, Kia, Lotus, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Naza, Nissan, Perodua, Porsche, Proton, Renault and Skoda.
In between shopping for cars, visitors to Juru Auto-City can also go for a bite at any of its long line of restaurants, fast-food outlets, and 24-hour nasi kandar chain stalls. What's your pleasure? There's Bed, Citi-Box (that's karaoke), Double Good, Fuel, Golden Triangle Restaurant, Haagen-Dazs, Harry's B1 Korean BBQ, Highway Star, Ice Ice Baby, Isshin Japanese Restaurant, Jiu Jiu Szechuan Restaurant, KFC, McDonald's, Nando's, Old Town, Party World, Pelita Nasi Kandar, Pizza Hut, Sakae Teppanyaki, Secret Recipe, Segafredo, Seoul Garden, Shelaiton Restaurant, SOHO Pub, Starbucks Coffee, Subway, Sushi King, Swensen's, Takehana, Ta Krai Cafe, Tao, Coffee Bean, Dream, and Manhattan Fish Market. Also, there are fashion boutiques there, including Be Be, Me Boutique, Akido, MoMo, Batik & Souvenir, Milano, Vivi Classic and Wear Rynn. Quite a number of banks have their branches at Juru Auto-City, inlcuding AffinBank, CIMB, EON Bank, HSBC Amanah, Standard Chartered, and RHB
Already Juru Auto-City has hosted several events unrelated to motorcars. They include the Penang Shanghai World Star Quest 2008, Penang International Lantern Festival in 2007, and the Auto-City Mid-Autumn Festival. The site holds an annual Auto-City Carnival, with beauty pagent and the de rigeur automobile exhibition. Celebrities and and products also have promotional tours at Auto City, among them SHE, Raymond Lam, Fish Leong, Mayday, Fahrenheit, Xin Guang San Shao, Nicholas and DIGI.
Juru Auto-City is the mainland site for the Christmas and New Year Countdown 2010 and 2009, the Chinese Lunar New Year Concert 2009, the Astro Super 50 Concert, the Merdeka Countdown, among others.

Getting there
Exit the North-South Expressway at the Juru Interchange and then head west. The Auto City sign practically screams at you from the junction.
