Jesselton Avenue (Jalan Jesselton), Penang

Jesselton Avenue is the main road in the upscale residential neighbourhood of Jesselton Heights. It was named after the town in Sabah (then North Borneo) that was founded around 1882 and held the name Jesselton until 1968, when it was renamed Kota Kinabalu. The road has been translated as Jalan Jesselton in Malay instead of Lebuhraya Jesselton.
