Jalan Tengah, Penang
|
Jalan Tengah is both the name of the main road as well as the residential neighbourhood in Bayan Baru. The road has been in existence since the early 1960's as the connection between the then main round-island road, now called Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, and the then Jalan Sungai Ara, now called Jalan Dato Ismail Hashim. Since the late 1970's, Jalan Tengah has experienced development in tandem with the establishment of Bayan Baru township. By the early 1990's, it was already one of the neighbourhoods of Bayan Baru.
Public Transport
Jalan Tengah is served by Rapid Penang Bus No. 302, 304, 305, 306, 307, 308, 401 and 705.
Distance from Magazine Circus: 14.3 km
