About Jalan Bukit GambierJalan Bukit Gambier , also written Jalan Bukit Gambir, is a 4-lane main road on the south-central part of Penang Island. It runs from the junction with Jalan Tun Dr Awang, in front of Wisma Malvest, all the way to Yeap Chor Ee Road.Jalan Bukit Gambier was built in the mid 1990's as an extension to Yeap Chor Ee Road. It was built in sections through the hills of Bukit Gambier, passing through land belonging to Universiti Sains Malaysia in Minden, until it eventually ends at the junction with Jalan Tun Dr Awang. Since its construction, the road has become one of the alternative routes between George Town and the southern part of the island, reducing congestion along Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah.
