Island Resort Condominium (see map) are two blocks of luxury condominiums being planned on freehold land in Batu Ferringhi, Penang. They comprise 1 Island Resort and 10 Island Resort. Each block is 31 storeys high. 1 Island Resort is slated for completion in 2012 while 10 Island Resort in 2014.
The standard units will have a floor area of 1,100 square feet to 1,250 square feet for the corner unit, and will be priced from RM495,000. There are also Executive units with 2,500 square feet of space, priced between RM980,000 to RM1,266,000 while the Penthouse units, with 3,200 square feet of space, is priced from RM1,350,000.
Facilities
Facilities expected include security services, covered parking, visitor parking, swimming pool, gymnasium, multipurpose hall and landscaping.
Location
Island Resort Condominium is 12.5 km from Magazine Circus. You wouldn't want to go to town unless that's good reasons to (and working would not be one of them). The property is a good place to relax and enjoy the view. It is an excellent pad for high-income retirees.
Public Transport
The nearest bus stop may be a long walk down the hill to Jalan Tanjung Bungah, and there would be good reasons why you would be taking the bus (ie your Rolls Royce won't start?) You can hail Rapid Penang Bus 101 from the bus stop.
Amenities
The nearest petrol station is the Caltex along Jalan Tanjung Bungah. The nearest school is Dalat International School. The nearest market is the Tanjung Bungah Market. The nearest shopping centres include Tesco Tanjung Pinang, Straits Quay and Island Plaza. The nearest hospital is the Penang Adventist Hospital (not counting Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital).
Traffic
Traffic along Jalan Tanjung Bungah is heavy. Also, this stretch of the road is winding and narrow, so vehicles are often back to back behind road hogs.
