Gurney Paragon is an upscale retail-cum-residential development taking shape along Gurney Drive in Penang. It is located between Gurney Park and Regency condominiums on one side, and Loke Mansion on the other.
The project comprises two 43-storey blocks of condominiums, to be called East Tower and West Tower respectively; Gurney Paragon Mall, a shopping mall facing Kelawei Road, and in between them, the St. Joseph Square, preserving the historical St. Joseph's Novitiate and transforming it into Penang's response to CHIJMES. The condominium blocks are said to be the tallest residential buildings in Penang when completed. As of time of writing, the Paragon Mall has not been launched yet.

The Gurney Paragon Mall is an upscale shopping mall within the Gurney Paragon development. It is sited towards Kelawei Road and is expected to cost RM400 million. The developer is hoping to have the mall ready by 2012 or 2013, and will provide an alternative for shoppers in the area. However, unless the developer is able to attract an international retailer as anchor tenant, the mall may suffer the fate of Penang Times Square and 1st Avenue Mall.
Update: 23 January 2012
St Jo's, a food & beverage destination that includes the former St Joseph's Novitiate building, was open by Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng on 16 January, 2012.
