Gurney Beach Resort (see map) is a 40-storey block of luxury apartment along Gurney Drive, Penang. There are 149 units with a size from 2,583 square feet. Estimated selling price is from RM800,000 to RM1 million. Estimated monthly rental is between RM3,200 to RM4,200. Maintenance fee is around RM450.

Facilities

Facilities include 24-hour security, parking lot, swimming pool, children's pool, gymnasium, sauna, tennis court, children's playground, barbecue area, community hall and landscaped garden.

Location

Gurney Beach Resort is 2.6 km from Magazine Circus, making it an excellent choice for high-income earners working or owning businesses in George Town. The name "beach resort" may be slightly misleading. Although it is within a stone's throw from the beach, the condominium is a self-contained property that is closer to Kelawei Road. In any case, this particular stretch of Penang beach is not on the same level as that of Batu Ferringhi. Having said that, the condominium is a serene haven away from the noise and bustle of the city, without being too far away from it.

Public Transport

If your BMW broke down and you can't find Penang taxi contact, you can take the Rapid Penang Bus 103 which pass along Kelawei Road (but it goes in the direction of Tanjung Bungah).

Amenities

The nearest petrol station is the Shell along Kelawei Road. The nearest school is Tenby International School. The nearest market is the Pulau Tikus Market. The nearest shopping centres include Axis Complex and Gurney Plaza. The nearest hospital is Island Hospital.
