Embassy is a cheap hotel at the junction of Burmah Road and Transfer Road. This Art Deco building was erected in the early 20th century. The ground floor has been used as a coffee shop for many years but now houses an auto showroom.

Embassy is an example of the Art Deco style that has gone under appreciated compared to the more ornate Straits Eclectic shophouses.

Getting there

From the Komtar Bus Terminal, walk along Tek Soon Street until Penang Road, turn right and follow Penang Road till junction with Burmah Road. Go along Burmah Road until junction with Transfer Road, and you will see Embassy at the corner.
