Dumbar Villa, not to be confused with Bukit Dumbar Villa, is a small single-block apartment in Jelutong, Penang. It is six storeys tall, including the ground floor which is a community area.

Dumbar Villa is located in the area where Bukit Dumbar overlaps with Jelutong.

Facilities

Facilities are quite basic such as guard house, fencing and parking lot.

Location

Dumbar Villa is 5.7 km from Magazine Circus. It is suitable for people who work in George Town. The access road to Dumbar Villa is however pretty narrow, and it leads to the ever-congested Jelutong Main Road. The plus point is that you can leave your car at home and walk to the market, which is a short distance away.

Public Transport

There are many bus routes along Jalan Jelutong, about 100 meters from Dumbar Villa. This includes Rapid Penang Bus 11, 301, 302, 303, 401 and 704.

Amenities

The nearest school is Sekolah Rendah Jenis Kebangsaan (Cina) Phei Shin just a short walk away. Other schools include Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Jelutong, Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Jelutong Barat, Sekolah Rendah Jenis Kebangsaan (Cina) Jelutong and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Jelutong. The Jelutong Market along Jalan Penaga is within walking distance. The nearest supermarket is Sunshine Jelutong. The nearest hypermarket is Tesco Penang in Gelugor. The nearest petrol station is the Shell at Jelutong. The nearest hospital is Lam Wah Ee Hospital along Jalan Tan Sri Teh Ewe Lim.

Traffic

Traffic is heavy along Jalan Jelutong. There is also a bottleneck in front of the Jelutong Market. There is a makeshift divider along the road to prevent motorists making illegal turning in to Bukit Dumbar Indah, but still several risk themselves as well as on-going traffic to make the turning.
