Ahmad Badawi Community Hall

Dewan Dato Haji Ahmad Badawi is a community hall of the Majlis Perbandaran Seberang Perai (Seberang Perai Municipal Council). It was named after the late father of the then Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, who declared it open at a ceremony on 31 July, 2007. The multi-purpose hall is located along Jalan Bagan Luar. It faces an open field called Padang Pemuda Merdeka, near the junction with Jalan Heng Choon Thian.

Dewan Ahmad Badawi is accessed through the road that runs behind it, Jalan Dato Haji Ahmad Saad. The Butterworth Outer Ring Road runs between it and the sea.

Finding Budget Accommodation in Penang

If you're coming to Penang on a budget, you'd be pleased to know that there's quite a number of places in George Town as well as in Batu Ferringhi that offers good clean accommodation without costing you an arm and a let. If I am allowed to be biased, I would recommend Hotel Mingood, which happens to belong to a friend of mine. If it is occupied, there are plenty of other places that cost less than US$12.00 per night.
