Desaria Sri Merpati are low cost flats in Desaria, Sungai Ara on freehold tenure. The units each have three bedrooms, 1 bathroom and 1 toilet. Built-up area of each unit is either 500 sq ft or 630 sq ft.

Facilities

Facilities are basic. There is a guard house and fencing over the compound of the flats which is all that I can see. I have seen seller's asking price for units here at RM120,000.

Location

Desaria Sri Merpati is 17 km from Magazine Circus. It is quite far for people working in George Town. It may be more suited for people working in the Bayan Lepas area.

Public Transport

Public buses passing along Jalan Dato Ismail Hashim include Rapid Penang Bus 301, 302, 306 and 308.

Amenities

The nearest petrol station is the Shell station at Sungai Ara village. The nearest schools include SK Mutiara Perdana, SMK Sungai Ara, SJK (Tamil) Sungai Ara and SJKC Chong Cheng. The nearest market is the Sungai Ara Market. The nearest shopping is at Sunshine Square. The nearest hospital is Pantai Mutiara Hospital along Jalan Tengah.

Traffic

Traffic along Jalan Dato Ismail Hashim is not too heavy. However, there are bottle necks at the Relau village and Sungai Ara village that often cause traffic to back up to a long queue.
