 Desa Ria Market, Penang
Desa Ria Market is a community wet market in Taman Desa Ria, Sungai Ara. It is located next to Cafe Xin Jiang, a food court popular with its dim sum (the Tien Tien Lai Dim Sum Corner).
On 28 March, 2011, The Star highlighted that the Desaria Market has remained empty for the past seven years. There are no takers for the 86 stalls. The only trader doing business there opens his shop only on Saturday to sell handicrafts.

Getting there
It is probably easiest to go there by far, as it is some 300 meters from the nearest bus stop at Jalan Dato Ismail Hashim. It would not be of much interest to people living outside Taman Desa Ria, as it is simply too remote as well as the choices here are limited.
