Tips for buying Residential Property in Penang

Real Estate Review: Desa Bukit Jambul, Bukit Jambul

Desa Bukit Jambul is a 10-storey condominium on the slopes of Bukit Jambul, Penang. It was built in 1999 on freehold land, and has a total of 94 condo units. Each unit has a built-up area of 1,090 square feet served by two lifts. There is a total of only 8 units on each floor. Maintenance fee is RM226 per month.

Facilities

Facilities include security, covered parking lot, swimming pool, tennis court, gymnasium, sauna, children's playground and landscaping.

Location

Desa Bukit Jambul is 14 km from Magazine Circus. It is more suited for people working in the south side than for those working in the city, due to the distance involved. Having said that, Desa Bukit Jambul is along Persiaran Bukit Jambul, which gets badly congested during rush hour every morning. In the evening rush hour, the traffic is backed up in the opposite direction.

Public Transport

The nearest bus stop is quite a distance away along Jalan Tun Dr Awang. Rapid Penang Bus 301, 302, 303, 304, 305, 306, 308 and 704 pass within the vicinity. For some of these routes you need to walk to the bus stop at Jalan Tun Dr Awang.

Amenities

The nearest school is Sekolah Rendah Jenis Kebangsaan (Cina) Min Shin, right out front. The nearest market is the Bayan Baru Market. The nearest petrol station is Esso Sungai Nibong Kecil. The nearest shopping centre is Bukit Jambul Complex, while the nearest hospital is Pantai Hospital.

Traffic

The main roads surrounding Relau are all heavily congested in the morning and evening, due in part to traffic passing through from Paya Terubong and Balik Pulau towards Bayan Lepas Industrial Zone.
