Bukit Dumbar Permai comprises four blocks of 21-storey apartment at Bukit Dumbar, Penang. Completed in 1999, Bukit Dumbar Permai has a total of 114 units of three bedroom two bathroom apartments on freehold land. Estimated selling price is RM180,000 to RM260,000 while estimated monthly rental is between RM900 to RM1,500. The maintenance fee is RM110 monthly. What I like about Bukit Dumbar Permai is the panoramic view, especially of the Penang Bridge. What I don't quite like is that Jalan Tunku Kudin often becomes very congested, especially during the evening rush hour.

Location

Bukit Dumbar Permai is about 5.4 km from Magazine Circus. It is of manageable distance from the city as well as from Bayan Lepas. Beware thought that the main access road, Jalan Tunku Kudin, gets congested in the evening, particularly on Fridays.

Public Transport

Rapid Penang Bus 206 that goes to Tesco Penang is the only bus passing by this area.

Amenities

The nearest schools are Sekoleh Rendah Kebangsaan Jelutong, Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Jelutong Barat and Sekolah Menengah Jelutong. The nearest market is the Jelutong Market. Tesco Penang hypermarket is a short distance away. The nearest petrol station is the Shell at Jelutong. The nearest hospital is Lam Wah Ee Hospital at Batu Lanchang.

Traffic

Traffic can be very heavy to the point of standstill during evening rush hour, particularly on Fridays, when people rush to leave Penang through the Penang Bridge. Apart from that, at the rest of the day, traffic is smooth and fast.
