Bayan Permai Apartment, or Pangsapuri Bayan Permai, comprises 5 blocks of medium-cost 9-storey apartments in Bayan Lepas, Penang. The apartment complex is located near the Bayan Lepas Flyover, across the road from the Penang International Airport.

There is a total of 130 units at Bayan Permai Apartment, each with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, and a total area of 910 square feet each. The apartment complex was completed in 2001 on freehold tenure. At the base of the apartment are shoplots with a mini market and a few eateries.

Due to its proximity to the airport, Bayan Permai Apartment should be ideal for staff of the airport facility. One drawback (or plus point, depending on how you look at it) about the location is the big pasar malam (night market) happening along Jalan Mahkamah every weekend, which causes a big jam spilling to the main road. On the other hand, it is an opportunity to do a bit of budget shopping and grab a meal.

Facilites include 24-hour security and parking lot.

Location

Bayan Permai Apartment is 25 km from Magazine Circus. As such it is not the most practical place to stay if you are working in the city.

Public Transport

Rapid Penang bus no. 302, 305, 308 and 401 pass along Jalan Bayan Lepas in front of the apartment.

The nearest school is Sekolah Kebangsaan Bayan Lepas and Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Cina) Chung Shan. The nearest market is the Bayan Lepas Market along Jalan Dato Ismail Hashim (formerly Jalan Sungai Ara). The nearest hypermarket is Giant Hypermarket in Bayan Baru. The nearest petrol station are the two Shell stations and one Petronas along Jalan Bayan Lepas / Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah. The nearest hospital is Hospital Pantai Mutiara in Bayan Baru.

Traffic

Traffic in front of Bayan Permai Apartment is usually smooth except when the pasar malam is in session.
