Marina Bay MRT Station (GPS: 1.27613, 103.85461; NS27/CE2) is an underground station of the Singapore MRT. It is located on reclaimed land. Presently, it is not within immediate proximity to any surrounding developments, as the Marina Bay neighbourhood is actually a distance away. Nonetheless, the Marina Bay MRT Station was sited for the future development of the area, which will form the New Downtown, an expansion to Singapore's existing Central Business District.
The Marine Bay MRT Station began operations on 4 November, 1989. It is the terminus station for the line. The station immediately before it is the Raffles Place MRT Station. An extension of the North-South Line is presently under construction, and eventually, the new terminus station will be the subsequent one, the Marina Pier MRT Station.
Renumbering
From 2026, the Marina Bay MRT Station will be renumbered from CE2/NS27/TE20 to CC33/NS27/TE20 with the Stage 6 extension from HarbourFront MRT Station is completed.

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
