Puchong (GPS: 3.03271, 101.6188) is a growing residential township in Selangor. It is located in the Petaling district, to the south of Kuala Lumpur. The area is governed by the Subang Jaya Municipal Council and the Sepang Municipal Council.

Until the late 1970's, Puchong was covered with rubber estates and mining land. Since then, it has developed rapidly as the metropolitan areas of the Klang Valley expands outwards from Kuala Lumpur.

Puchong's located midway between Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya makes it a choice area for residential development. Among the residential estates and new townships that have sprouted up in Puchong include Bandar Puchong Jaya, Pusat Bandar Puchong, Puchong Hartamas, Puchong Utama, Puchong Prima, Bandar Bukit Puchong, Saujana Puchong and Bandar Puteri Puchong. All of these occupy former plantation lands and newly cleared forested areas.

How to reach Puchong

The most straight-forward way to reach Puchong is to take any of these expressways: the Damansara-Puchong Expressway, LDP, (E11) the Shah Alam Expressway (E5), or the New Pantai Expressway, NPE (E10).
