Pacific West held a cook show called the Best Cook is at Home Cook Show at the Hin Bus Depot on 27 May, 2017. Tefal sponsored the cook ware used at the event. It was attended by an audience of over a hundred people. My wife and I had the pleasure of being invited to the show, which include various contests where participants can win prizes. Among the games include trying to tell the number of Pacific West packagings within a Volkswagen van. During the show itself, members of the audience also won prizes for answering questions correctly.
To grace the event, Pacific West invited three noted chefs to provide cooking demonstrations using its various products, including its newly launched Pacific West Spicy Garlic Calamari Rings. They are Chef Garry Edson, Chef MC Leong and Datin Jenny Oon.
Chef Edson made Barley Paella with Spicy Calamari Rings using the Pacific West Spicy Garlic Calamari Rings, Chunky Fish Fillets with Spinach Laing using the Pacific West Chunky Fish Fillets and the Sun-Dried Tomato Hummus Dip with Figgy Oatmeal Fish Fillets using Pacific West Figgy Oatmeal Fish Fillets.
Chef MC Leong showed us how he make Tempura Fish Cocktails with Salted Egg Yolk using Pacific West Tempura Fish Cocktails; and Salt & Pepper Squids with Korean Style Salad using Pacific West Salt & Pepper Squids.
Datin Jenny Oon demonstrated the making of Nyonya Tempura Fish Fillet using Pacific West Tempura Fish Fillets, Otak-Otak Tempura Black Pepper Fish Fillet using Pacific West Tempura Black Pepper Fish Fillets and Asian Style Popcorn Fish using Pacific West Popcorn Fish.
After the cooking demonstration, the audience was treated to a Pacific West fish-and-chips lunch. It was a lovely conclusion to the event, and before we leave, we even receive door gifts in the form of Pacific West cooler bag with souvenirs in them.
