Peranginan Sik (GPS: 5.84175, 100.73815) is a recreational forest in Sik District, Kedah. Also known as Rimba Taqwa, Peranginan Sik was developed in 1964, making it the first recreational site in Kedah that the locals can go for picnics in a natural surrounding. It is located within the Bukit Enggang Forest Reserve. The place has been developed with cascading waterfalls and grounds for picnicking and camping. There is also a parking place that can accommodate up to 1000 people at a time.

Getting there

Exit the North-South Expressway at the Gurun Interchange, Exit 173. Take Route 175 eastwards. You will pass the town of Sik. Continue for another 3 km through a scenery of kampung houses, and you will arrive at Peranginan Sik. It is near the Kedah Economic Development Authority (KEDA) Training Centre.
