Experiencing KSL Hotel & ResortExperiencing KSL Hotel & Resort (12 September, 2016)

KSL Resort is one of the hotels we had the opportunity of trying out, during our visit to Johor Bahru. The management has graciously extended to my wife and me a complimentary stay on Monday, 12 September, 2016. It was our first night in Johor Bahru. We were driving in from Muar, and arrived at the hotel 6:50pm that evening.

KSL Resort brands itself as the largest integrated resort in downtown Johor Bahru. In addition to the hotel, which occupies two high-rise blocks, there is a podium with a shopping mall known as KSL City Mall, and a condominium block called D'Esplanade.

As it was our first time there, we were unsure of where to park, and ended up parking our car with the shoppers of KSL City Mall. Upon checking in, we learn that hotel guests have their own dedicated car park at Level 6, so we moved our car there. The guest car park is gated, meaning there is a security guard at the gate to ensure that only hotel guests get to park there. That car park is very spacious, and had only about two dozen cars, though it can easily take a couple hundred.

We check in without issue and were according our Deluxe room on the 19th floor. The room has a huge bed. Outside the window, we have a nice view of downtown Johor Bahru. After dinner, we went for a stroll around the swimming pool and visited its various facilities such as the gym and the games room. But we had no chance to use any of the facilities as they were all closing by the time we got there.

The next morning, we had a lovely breakfast at its main cafe, the Infusion, which offers a huge selection of breakfast buffet. It was a most lovely stay, but time passed quickly, and pretty soon, it was time for us to check out. No, we did not wait till check out time to leave the hotel, as we want to make the most of the day sightseeing Johor Bahru and its surroundings, so we checked out right after breakfast.

My wife and I wish to thank KSL Hotel & Resort for extending to us the complimentary stay. We enjoyed our short visit very much.

About this website

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
