Bangunan Sultan Ibrahim (GPS: 1.45782, 103.76114) is probably the most well-recognised icon and landmark of Johor Bahru. It is a government administrative building located at the top of Bukit Timbalan in Johor Bahru. The building was used by the Japanese during the Second World War as a fortress when they were planning their attack on Singapore.

Bangunan Sultan Ibrahim was designed by the architectural firm of Palmer & Turner, and was completed in 1942. It was a symbol of Johor's progress at that time. The building was designed in the Renaissance style that blended elements of English and Malay architecture, and was constructed by local craftsmen under the supervision of a European architect. Today it still remains a landmark of Johor Bahru, and houses the State Secretariat as well as other state government departments.
