Halaman Ariffin

Ariffin Court, now signaged as Halaman Ariffin, is a short minor roadway off Burmah Road. It is almost across the road from Khoo Sian Ewe Road.

Ariffin Court was named after Wan Chik Ariffin (read also Mohd Ariff Mansion, Hutton Lane, 138 Hutton Lane, Ariffin Road and Masjid Wan Chik Ariffin), the early 20th century Malay millionaire and patron of Penang boria who donated land for the creation of the road. It is one of two roadways bearing his name, the other being Ariffin Road a short distance away.

Getting there

From Komtar Bus Terminal, walk along Tek Soon Street until you reach Penang Road. Turn right, walk along Penang Road until the Burmah Road junction. Turn left into Burmah Road. About 15 meters down the road, you reach the junction to Ariffin Court on your left.
